SAFARIO

[Distance from Isla Empieza]: Nearly three weeks.

[Terrain]: The island isn't overly large, and it's bordered by white, sandy beaches all around the circumference. Past the beach is a thin strip of forested area, and beyond that there's nothing but grasslands stretching for miles across to the trees on the opposite side. Across the landscape there are occasional outcroppings jutting out of the ground, in which various caves are naturally hollowed out. In the shade of some of these rock formations are where watering holes can be found.

[Weather]: Dry and warm throughout most of the year, though there are two rainy seasons in the early spring and early fall. During the summer, temperatures have been known to suddenly skyrocket to unbearable highs, and the intense heat can become dangerous if you're stuck in it for too long.

[Is the island inhabited?]: Not by humans.

[If so, what is the culture like here?]: N/A.

[Island peculiarities]: A wide and varied population of animals lives on this island, though none of them seem exactly...normal. In fact, they're all a little bit backwards. The elephants that roam the grasslands are knee-high at their tallest, while the rabbits loom over you and can weigh up to a ton. Wildebeests are vicious carnivores and the giraffes have stunted necks. Meanwhile, turtles zoom down the beach past the fish walking on the sand.

All of the animals have a tail that ends in a poofy fuzzball, and who even knows what that's about. It's possible this forgotten, deserted island is a dumping ground for genetic experiments gone wrong.
