♦ CRISES ISLAND
[Distance from Isla Empieza]: One week.
[Terrain]: Jungle. Jungle everywhere. And a slow, lazy river pumping its way through, streaming out like a nervous system. But mostly jungle.
[Weather]: Hot. Muggy. Sweat inducing.
[Is the island inhabited?]: Yes and no.
[If so, what is the culture like here?]: There isn't one anymore.
[Island peculiarities]: While it's unknown where the name Crises Island came from, the shipwrecks that can be seen along the shore might give people some idea. Just getting in a safe distance can be a chore as the island is surrounded by reefs and sandbars.
Once you manage to get in, there is a wealth of exotic fruits, medicines, rare and fantastic birds, ruins, treasure, and monkeys.
A lot of monkeys.
Apes, too.
In fact, the island is fairly jam-packed with those of the simian persuasion. Some of which are very territorial and will send you scattering with a display of aggression, howling, or on point poop throwing.
The ruins themselves are of an ancient civilization with cryptic writing, deep secrets, and undead warriors ready to spring into action should there be too much of a disturbance. But it might be worth it in the end. Some say that this island holds a great secret. But what it is and where it is...no one has managed to puzzle that out.
