HAUS ISLAND

[Distance from Isla Empieza]: A week.

[Terrain]: Flat when it's flat and vertical when it's vertical and an awful lot of stairs.

[Weather]: Calm.

[Is the island inhabited?]: Maaaaybe?

[If so, what is the culture like here?]: Unknown.

[Island peculiarities]: Upon approach, you see what looks like a gigantic pink house rising up out of the sea, as you get closer you realize it is a gigantic pink house rising up out of the sea. Well, sort of. The house covers almost the entire rocky base of the island which is about ten miles in diameter and reaches up a hundred feet into the air.

In front of the house is a fence (with no gate) and an open carriageway with a clipped lawn on either side, leading up to the ten foot doors. Inside is a grand foyer with a chandelier, a grand staircase and ornate doors with nameplates above them. A lot of doors. Haus Island is full of rooms and, even despite its massive size, seems much bigger on the inside than it should be.

Rooms: There are all sorts of rooms, rooms with furniture fit for giants, microscopic rooms with miniatures and everything in between. The rooms vary in any theme or style you can imagine, and even rooms you can't imagine. Rooms where gravity doesn't work or rooms where everyone turns into a giant inflatable blimp for no particular reason. Each of these rooms have a treasure chest and if you can open them, the treasure inside is real and you can carry it out with you. Anything else you try to carry out with you will vanish.

The Occupants: Occasionally, in one of the rooms, you may see one or all four dolls Whatever room you are in, they are perfectly in scale to the furniture. They're seemingly inanimate, but blink and they could be in a different position or gone from the room all together. If you try to take treasure in their line of sight though, a blink later and the last thing you will see is their red eyes before you lose consciousness and end up in the basement.

The Basement: Dark and dank, it has a dungeon like atmosphere. Something drips and echos, hinting at pitfalls or unseen chasms. At the same time it feels oppressive, you can barely even here your own voice. There is no light except for one across the room, shining above a home sampler with the words "here, kitty, kitty," stitched on it. Say the words and eventually a ghost like cat will appear. Follow the cat and it will lead you to a door which leads to a lit spiral staircase with three hundred steps. Climb it and you end up back in the foyer but all the doors, once open, are now locked.
